Food waste equals about 30% of your household garbage.
Instead recycle those leftovers, used paper towels, coffee grounds and pizza boxes into reusable products through organics recycling!
Where to Recycle Organics
Sign up for a free starter kit from Anoka County or the City of Columbia Heights (see below).
Certified green compostable bags can be purchased at local hardware and grocery stores.
Fill up those compostable bags with food scraps, pizza boxes, coffee grounds, paper napkins and paper egg cartons.
When the bag is full, drop it off at a collection site.

We are also looking into a free organics drop-off site within the City of Fridley.
Stay tuned for future updates regarding this service.
