The Fridley Senior Center helps you enjoy life to the fullest. Join us daily, weekly or every once in awhile. Our friendly faces will help you find groups, classes and programs important to you.


Mondays     9:00 a.m. Learn this beautiful art form in an on-going class beginning September 8th at the Fridley Community Center. Class will meet once per week. Carving tools are available on a loan basis to get you started.

Defensive Driving Refresher Course

This course is designed for those who have completed the 8-hour course.  A refresher course every three years replaces the old requirement of the 8-hour course every three years.  Cost includes class materials.   Note: Please include your driver's license number when registering.  Fee is $21.
A Full 8 Hour Class is also available: $25.
(Please note: Prices increase on January 1, 2017.)

Next 4-Hour Refresher: Friday, September 16 from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Great Decisions

3rd Wednesday    9:30 a.m., Fee is $5

In 2006, the Fridley Senior Program and Fridley Community Ed, partnered with the MN International Center and the Foreign Policy Association to bring the Great Decisions Program to area seniors.  The mission of the Great Decisions Program is to engage citizens in learning about the world.  Great Decisions features impartial, thought-provoking analyses on eight issues of concern to U.S. policymakers today and represent our foreign policy challenges of tomorrow.

Joy of Painting

1:00 - 4:00 p.m.
Discover the Joy of Painting as seen on PBS with certified instructors of the Bob Ross technique. All supplies included, just bring a desire to paint and a shirt or apron to cover your clothing. You will take home a completed painting in just 3 hours! $55 class fee.
