The Fridley Police Activity League (PAL) is a community outreach program within the Fridley Police Department. Designated PAL police officers promote youth engagement with local law enforcement during after-school recreational activities. The purpose of PAL is to build character, help strengthen police-community relations and provide children an alternative to drugs and alcohol. PAL offers sports, educational, social, cultural, and other recreational activities for boys and girls. PAL strives to mentor and teach strong character skills such as teamwork, honesty, and integrity. PAL educational activities expose youth to positive experiences.

The winter PAL session will be a combination of in school events and a couple out of school field trip events. The winter program is limited to 50 sixth and seventh-grade Fridley Middle School boys and girls. The program is going to be on Thursdays after school for six weeks and will involve different activities. The winter program will run from January 31st through February 28th. The gym activities will be in the Fridley Middle School gyms. The out of school trips are still in the process of being scheduled and we will have further information to come. You can registered through the City of Fridley Park and Recreation or through the Middle School Resource Officer. There will be a request for a $5.00 - $10.00 donation from each student participant. However, no one will be excluded from an inability to pay.
