Fridley is divided into 10 districts consisting of 3 to 5 neighborhoods each (see Chart below). A Neighborhood Resource Officer (NRO) is assigned to work with the citizens of each district to solve problems or concerns that may surface in their neighborhood. The NRO has been trained in problem solving and is aware of the various resources available in the community. The Fridley Police Department believes that the greatest opportunity for success is working together with citizens, the schools, the business community and other organizations to solve problems. Citizens are encouraged to meet and get to know their NRO. It is important to develop a trusting working relationship prior to dealing with problems that may be identified in a neighborhood.
