Are you looking for some Senior services? We offer several services at the Fridley Community Center during the day. Our facility is completely handicap accessible.

Legal Aid for Seniors

Tuesdays 9:30 - 10:30 a.m.
Legal Services for Senior Citizens of Anoka County will continue its monthly outreach service at the Fridley Community Center on the first Tuesday of each month. Areas of assistance include nursing home issues, housing issues, health insurance, public benefits (Social Security, Medicare and Medical Assistance, Subsidized Housing), debt collection, repossession, conservatorship/guardianship, landlord/tenant rights, and conciliation court cases. There is no charge to the participants for this service. Please call 763-502-5150 for an appointment.

Fridley Senior Dining

Hot meals are served Monday-Friday at 12 noon at the Fridley Community Center. A donation of $3.25 is requested for all seniors. Those under the age of 60 will be charged $6.25. Menus are published in the Fridley Senior News. Reservations can be made by calling 763-502-5199 between 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. (2 days in advance).

Chores & More

The Chores and More Program provides home chore services to seniors (over 60) and disabled persons, (under 60) who are unable to perform those services for themselves. Workers provide services such as routine housekeeping, minor home repairs, seasonal chores (snow removal, raking, lawn care), and heavy indoor cleaning. This referral service connects clients with workers. Subsidy money is available for those who need assistance. Make this your first call for help, 763-502-5151.

Part-time Workers & Handymen Needed

Become an active participant in helping your senior neighbors. The Chores & More program is in need of people who like to help people in their community (Fridley, Columbia Heights, and Hilltop). Also if you are looking to just help one senior we have just what you are looking for. Seniors in our area are in need of help with cleaning, minor home repair, and seasonal yard work. Hourly pay is $11 - $15. For more information call 763-502-5151.
