Volunteer Opportunities Print E-mail

For people looking to volunteer in the city, there are many different types opportunities available. If you can't find something here that interests you, we suggest contacting some of the non-profit organizations within the city.

City Commissions

The city has several commissions that help guide the direction of the city. The commissions work on everything from the City Charter to the oversight of city parks. The City Council seeks residents interested in serving on city commissions as vacancies arise. There are two requirements in order to become a member of a commission: (1) You must be eighteen (18) years of age or older; and (2) You must be a resident of the City of Fridley.

For information on current vacancies, see our Commission Vacancies page. For further information about current openings, the duties and responsibilities, meeting dates and times of the commissions, fill out a Commission Interest Form or contact the Fridley City Manager's Office.
