7th Street & 57th Avenue Trail Project

Project Overview

The 7^th Street & 57^th Avenue Trail Project includes the construction of a shared-use bituminous trail along the east side of 7^th Street from 53^rd Avenue to 61^st Avenue and north side of 57^th Avenue from University Avenue (T.H. 47) to 7^th Street in addition to miscellaneous street and utility improvements. The ten-foot wide trail will service pedestrians and cyclists along the corridor, creating new connections to the City’s existing bike/walkway network in accordance with the City’s Active Transportation Plan. The project is currently under construction, with completion anticipated in Summer 2023. Click on the map to the right for a closer look at the project area.

Project Updates: 

December 21st, 2022

As of December 16^th, the Contractor has concluded construction activities for the 2022 construction season. The Contractor is anticipated to resume construction along 7^th Street and 57^th Avenue in May 2023. Additional details on 2023 construction activities and scheduling will be provided with the next project update in the spring.
