Facilities & Rentals
The City of Fridley has many parks with picnic shelters. Reservations for shelters are available at three park locations: Commons Park, Flanery Park, and Moore Lake Park. Shelters at Commons and Flanery Parks offer both indoor and outdoor seating with electricity and indoor restrooms. Moore Lake Park offers open air covered picnic pavilions with picnic tables and access to portable restrooms. Each park shelter has access to charcoal grills, playgrounds, and athletic fields or courts. Reservations can be made in person at the Fridley Civic Campus or by calling the Recreation Department at 763-572-3570.
Moore Lake Park
Located just north of I694 on Highway 65 (Central Avenue). Moore Lake offers park users many opportunities for recreation and leisure activities. Outdoor restroom facilities are also located throughout the park. Each open-air picnic shelter has three tables, grill and garbage receptacle. Electricity is not available at these shelters. This is a great place to gather on a hot summer day. Moore Lake Beach is closed until further notice.
Centrally located at 555-61st Avenue NE, Commons offer a variety of year-round recreation and leisure opportunities. This facility is located near the Fridley Middle School, Fridley High School and Fridley Community Center. Athletic facilities include soccer fields, football fields, softball/baseball fields, and lighted tennis courts. The City’s largest children’s playground is located at this park. In the winter Commons offers a large sliding hill, a warming house, hockey rinks and a skating oval for general skating. The enclosed picnic shelter also has an attached open-air shelter - ideal for all weather conditions. It has indoor restroom facilities, running water, heat and electricity. Grill and waste receptacles are available.
Flanery Park is located at 1495 Onondaga Street in the northeast portion of the City. It has an enclosed picnic shelter with indoor restroom facilities, electricity, heat and running water. The park also has play equipment, a ball diamond, basketball court and lighted tennis courts.
